FINANCIAL HOLD ON STUDENT ACCOUNT WHEN THERE IS ANTICIPATED FINANCIAL AID
The most common question from students/families contacting the Office of the Bursar is:
Why do I have a financial hold if I have anticipated aid that will cover my balance due?
- If you are already enrolled in the summer semester and have anticipated aid reflected on your account that has not yet disbursed, you will have a financial hold placed on the account until the account is paid in full. The hold will be released once the financial aid posts to your account and pays the balance.
- If you are registered for the summer semester, the hold will not prevent you from adding/dropping courses in the summer semester. However, the hold will prevent you from scheduling/registering for future semesters, requesting transcripts, and if applicable, receiving a diploma.
- Please monitor your account and if the Anticipated Financial Aid does not post to your account by June 28, 2018, please contact the Office of Student Aid regarding the disbursement delay at (814)865-6301.
